About the comic
Haru is a Middle Grade Fantasy Adventure Graphic Novel series.
Well, officially it’s middle grade but really I think of it as an All Ages book. Sure it has no swearing or violence, but it does have peril and deals with some pretty mature concepts, albeit allegorically.
It is an adventure about growing up, facing tremendous adversity, and the lengths you would go for those that you love.
It has been called Tolkienesque by Publishers Weekly and Booklist, and in 2025, the first book, Haru: Book 1 - Sping, won The Broken Frontier Best Colorist Award, and the Leeds Book Awards Middle Grade Award.
Haru: Book 3 - Fall, received a Starred Review from Kirkus Reviews.
An adventure for all to enjoy, about finding hope when times are at their darkest.
